So just who is "The Brewer?"
Troy Brewer aka "The Brewer" loves to sit down with a cup of the
finest brew and write for his weekly newspaper column.
He considers himself a "professional" dieter ("I've tried more diets then Nutri can put in my system or Jenny has to offer!") and loves to preach about his love for Jesus to all who'll listen at his home in Johnson County, Texas.
A life long resident of the Joshua, TX area, he and his wife Leanna also Pastor a thriving outreach mission called Open Door Ministries. Last year alone their members gave away over 1 Million Pounds of food FREE of charge. This outreach to the working poor touches the lives of some 300 - 500 people every other week.
Having developed a "wild hair" while young, his reputation with the citizens of Joshua was "colorfull" before he gave his heart to Christ. So where does the Lord call him to Pastor? That's right; back in Joshua.....so Troy is just glad his church and community still love him despite all he did before he got saved.
In addition to being a writer and Pastor, he writes songs for his band Joshua Rising and tours with them when he gets a chance. His music has reached untold numbers throughout the world and to date he has 6 CD's to his credit.
He and Leanna head up Answer International, a mission ministry plus SPARK International (Serving, Protecting And Raising Kids) an outreach that builds and supports orphanages throughout the world.
He has 4 kids, Maegan, Benjamin, Luke and Rhema. They generally get along, even on mornings before he has his first cup.
